How to work with markers and create evaluations in a meaningful way?
How should the recognized companies be marked?
The easiest way to work with tags is to work with the uninteresting and customer markers. You have only 3 states:
- You know the company and you know that it is not interesting for you. (tag uninteresting!)
- You know the company as a customer and have the data already in your CRM system. (tag customer!)
- You are not able to assess the company yet and have to do further research and contact them first. (no tag!)
So you mark all companies you know are not potential customers with the tag uninteresting (in the example below green).
All remaining companies are researched and contacted if necessary. Either they become customers and are marked as customer (pink in the example below), or the companies have not shown any interest and are automatically marked as uninteresting.
It is recommended to work with several tags, so that you can get more precise evaluations of the different visitor groups. For example, it can be very informative to see how and when your competitors or existing customers look at your website. Also, whether a pre-qualification has already taken place for a company, for example, or not.
